The Cascadia Grain Conference brings together farmers, processors and end-users, as well as investors, brokers and local government officials to support the grain economy west of the Cascade Mountains in the Pacific Northwest.
This year’s Cascadia Grain Conference was held in Olympia Washington and featured presenters focused on grain value added processes includin\g malting, milling, brewing, baking, and distilling. The conference also featured sessions on farming grain, business network development & branding, as well as animal feed production.
Our founder, Twila Henley shared details on the nuts and bolts of building a craft malt house alongside Rogue’s Maltster, Eric Hayatt. The conference finished off with the Best of Cascades Tasting Tour featuring beverages from Pemberton Distillery, Westland Distillery, Fremont Brewery, our wonderful customer Ghostfish Brewery, and more.
Ghostfish Brewery, a Seattle based designated gluten-free brewery, is just weeks away from its grand opening! We had the privilege of visiting the Ghostfish team, checking out their new brew house and tasting room, as well as sampling delicious gluten-free beers.
